Abstract

In the research operations literature, numerous models have been developed to improve ambulance facility utilization to enhance reliability and efficiency. The goal of the location search coverage model is to maximize (deterministically or probabilistically) the occurrence of current ambulance calls. As the studyemphases on the types of ambulance services that can be provided in an emergency medical service system, this work explores a dynamic model approach to ambulance allocation. To improve the flow of calls or inquiries that can be handled, this allocation model aims to anticipate the accessibility of ambulances. Using a linear program model, this research develops a model based on the MEXCLP model by constraining the variable to 0-1,describe the location where the ambulance unit is requested and determines whether an ambulance unit is allocated to location i, and based on that information, a model can be constructed for tracking the departure and relocation of the ambulance.
