Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in global economic development in both developed or developing countries,. However, the outbreak of COVID-19 and its chain reaction have created a serious adverse impact on the global economy, especially SMEs. Therefore, in the post-pandemic era, small and medium-sized enterprises need to quickly overcome the haze and resume healthy development. This research analyzes the situation and response of SMEs in China before, during and after the pandemic, attempting to identify the factors that influence sustainable development in the post-epidemic era by the method of hypothesis testing. At the same time, based on the conclusions of this research, corresponding strategic suggestions have been provided for China and countries around the world to cope with economic changes in the post-pandemic era and achieve sustainable development of SMEs.
