On λ-fold coverings with maximum block size four for λ ≥ 6

Abstract

The minimum number of blocks having maximum size precisely four that are required to cover, exactly λ times, all pairs of elements from a set of cardinality ν is denoted by gλ(4) (ν). We present a complete solution to this problem for λ ≥ 6.
