2-designs and codes from certain 2-transitive simple groups

Abstract

We construct some designs and codes from the fixed points of the Sylow p-subgroups of the 2 points stabilizers in the 2-transitive permutation representation of the following simple groups: L3(q)(q ≥ 3), L2(11), U3(4), U3(9), An (n ≥ 6), S6(2), S8(2) and HS.
